THE WHOLE IS GREATER THAN THE SUM OF ITS PARTS.
It was serendipity that brought together eight women with a passion for art, and the result is a nurturing, encouraging bond of friendship. With their mentor, Jini James, they found themselves reaching for new levels and inspired by new ideas–and sometimes, old ideas–as in their copies of the Masters.
Their first show as a group was in 2006, when they did "Small Expressions," a collection of miniatures, at Mud Flats Pottery in Downtown Melbourne, Florida.
In 2007 they created the "Friends and Faux" exhibit doing copies of the Masters, with emphasis on the Impressionists.
They participated as a group in the "Masters of Art" show in Downtown Melbourne in Fall 2007, and created a holiday setting for "Razzle Dazzle," a fundraiser for the Brevard Art Museum in December 2007.
